Summertime, and the riddims are breezy. When the warm weather heralds the arrival of festivals, carnivals and poolside raving, it's time to break out the new season's collection of beats. And, celebrating fifteen years deep in the game, Technique Recordings are dropping a “Summer Selection” album to soundtrack the sunshine properly. This first taste of the album comes from label bosses Drumsound & Bassline Smith who, judging by their show itinerary, know a thing or two about hyping a festival crowd.
The Prototypes have 3 out of the TOP 10 best selling Beatport D&B tracks of 2014. Brighton based Producer & DJ Chris Garvey and Nick White are a real force in the scene, but with their debut album 'City of Gold' being released on Viper Recordings in May, they are about to go stratospheric.
Premiered on Frictions BBC Radio 1 show last night, 'Oblivion' leads the way for Tantrum Desires brand new album 'Diversified'.
OBLIVION seduces us with the uplifting innocence of Solah's vocal, before moving effortlessly from naïve purity to gritty toughness. This, all woven together with stomping bass, jungle drum fills and a stripped-back piano-led breakdown, means that it's going to connect with listeners' emotions as much as ravers' dancing shoes
Toddla T (Radio 1) ‘These are SICK’
Caspa ‘Skanky vibes and big bass - Proper!
DJ Yoda ‘Dope’
Dj Spooky ‘Riddim tuff like iron!’
You'd be hard pressed to come up with a production team with as diverse a CV as Decoder and Substance. Part of the hugely influential mid-nineties Bristol scene, between them they've run labels, promoted events, run a record shop and produced a slew of cutting edge underground D&B. And that's before we even get into what they've achieved with their worldwide chart-conquering band Kosheen. And now, for the first time in over a decade, we have some brand new Decoder and Substance material.
Matrix & Futurebound have proved they can achieve both high chart positions with some of the highest quality cross over Drum & Bass, while maintaining heavy support in the underground.
After 4 consecutive UK Top 40 hits Matrix & Futurebound return to their roots with the underground club vibes of Drum & Bass with new track 'Glow Worm'.
Already selected as DJ Friction's prestigious "Friction Fire" on BBC Radio 1, 'Glow Worm' is showing the versatility of this legendary duo.

Now here is a crossover collab if there ever was one!
Bass enthusiast Rico Tubbs teams up with big room electro heads Heavyweight and the pure trance movements main exponent Orkidea. To mix it up even more we have a bunch of quality remixes. Firstly theres JayCeeOh of Fools gold fame, and fresh off the back of remixing Bassnectar. Then bass garage master Rare Candy brings the Jackin' vibes and Desto murks it with an underground footwork remix, before new kid Daddy Fixx drops the tempo with his rework.
General Levy & Bonnot present ‘Warrior’. An exciting new video that captures the highlights of their massive ‘Forward Tour 2015’. The track, ‘Warrior' is taken their highly acclaimed collaboration album ‘Forward’ that was released late last year.
The video captures the raw energy of their live show which has sold out venues all over Europe and beyond. The sound is based in the strong tradition of Jungle, but the vision and production is FORWARD thinking and fresh.
Skanky Panky Records are back with their first release for 2015, and the firsts don’t end there… Kast3l is a brand new up and coming producer out of Krasnodar, Russia, and this is his debut single.
