House
Bass=Win head honcho, Rico Tubbs has compiled and mixed some of his favourite 'Bass House' moments from the labels back catalogue, along with some new and exclusives.
The compilation will be available through all good stores in December. But right now, we have taken the 3 new & exclusive tracks and put them into a EP for your listening pleasure!
First up, we have a MRJ remix of Kelevra's classic 'Hollywood'. The original was released on Bass=Win back in 2012, but now MRJ steps up to give it a techy baseline refix.
Following on from releases with Moda Black, Portsmouth based Concrete Music and London’s Get Twisted Records over the past couple of years, emerging London man Jett will showcase his deft and vivid approach to UK House, with a two track debut for Fat! Records.
His gorgeous rendition of Radiohead’s Talk Show Host played a part in the dramatic conclusion of Gorgon City’s Essential Mix for Radio 1, back in September.
Since the release of their five track debut, the Habitat EP back in 2011, London duo Maribou State have gone on to become without doubt one of the UK underground's most celebrated acts. They won across the board national and tastemaker radio support for their emotive, yet effortless post-dubstep sound, which has drawn comparisons to SBTRKT.
The pair unleashed a string of successful releases on Fat! over two years that culminated in the release of their summer 2012 hit Olivia, which received a 'Tune of the Year' nod from XFM's Eddie Temple-Morris.
THEY'RE BACK! 12 months ago James Zabiela opened YØU.R and he's back to help them celebrate their 1ST BIRTHDAY along with an extended license and extra production. The past year has seen the likes of Bearweasel, Cozzy D, Reset Robot, Luke Solomon and Alex Arnout grace the decks, so it felt only natural to welcome the technical Jedi back. Globally renowned JZ shot to fame for his DJ trickery and captivating performances alongside his 10 year residency at We Love Space, Ibiza. YØU.R is honored to have Born Electrics head honcho headline our 1ST_BIRTHDAY party.

SP23 is a creative collective of musicians, DJs and artists. The origins of the collaboration goes back twenty years when the crew began a nomadic journey across Europe and beyond with the Spiral Tribe Sound System. SP23 was one of the many record label names associated with the sound system’s mobile recording studio (housed in a showman’s circus trailer). Today SP23 moves from strength to strength, playing packed houses all over Europe while the production crew launch a new label for 2014.
A load of top names from the world of beats and bass music are donating a track each to a double-CD compilation album in support of a leukaemia charity. The comp has been inspired by the untimely passing of Sonia Akow, a DJ, label A&R and PR associate who was immersed in the scene until she died a year ago.
