YouTube Music Launches With New App
YouTube has finally unveiled its dedicated Music app, having teased the new service when it announced YouTube Red last month.
The new service launches today (in the US only for now) and can be downloaded on both the Google Play store and the iOS App Store.
The platform is free for the first 14 days.
According to an announcement by the company, YouTube Music is geared towards making discovering music on YouTube "easier than ever".
The app will recommend tracks for users as well as allowing them to create personalised stations based on taste.
"The app also gives you complete access to one of the richest music catalogs on earth," says a YouTube blog post. "You’ll be able to quickly find music videos, tracks, artists and albums, but you’ll also see all the remixes, covers, lyric videos and concert footage that YouTube has to offer."
